Iran has confirmed that the next round of nuclear talks with the United States will be held in Rome, after earlier confusion over the location. The talks, mediated by Oman, are crucial as the two nations have been enemies for almost half a century. The negotiations will address the issue of Iran's nuclear program and the access that International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors will have. The talks come as Iran has restricted IAEA access and has threatened to pursue a nuclear weapon with its enriched uranium stockpile. Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian has also accepted the resignation of one of his vice presidents, who served as Tehran's key negotiator in the 2015 nuclear deal.
