The IDF announced the destruction of a Hamas training camp in Gaza and the killing of the head of the group's smuggling unit. The chief of Hamas's smuggling unit, Yahya Fathi Abd al-Qader Abu Shaar, was killed in an airstrike in southern Gaza's Khan Younis. The IDF also revealed the killing of a leading member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group. The IDF took steps to mitigate civilian harm in both strikes. Additionally, a Hamas operative at a command center in northern Gaza's Jabalia was targeted in an airstrike. The IDF said it took steps to mitigate civilian harm in this strike as well.
