A sign for a bagel shop, 'New Absolute Bagel,' has appeared outside the storefront of the beloved Upper West Side bagel shop that closed in December. The new store does not appear to have any relation to the old one and will be rebuilt from scratch. The new tenants, who are not household names, own a few bagel shops in New York and New Jersey. The name 'New Absolute Bagel' may or may not be sticking around.
