Syrian filmmaker Ameer Fakher Eldin is continuing his cinematic trilogy about displacement and exile with his latest film 'Yunan,' which explores the emotional journey of a Syrian writer living in exile in Germany. The film, which premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival, delves into the psychological toll of displacement and the search for meaning. Fakher Eldin, who was born in Kyiv and grew up in the Golan Heights, draws inspiration from his own experiences of being displaced and cut off from his culture. The film received support from the Red Sea Fund and will have its Arab premiere at the Red Sea International Film Festival in December.
