Mossad Director David Barnea is set to meet with Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed Al Thani to discuss the ongoing efforts to secure the release of hostages held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir warned that if there is no progress on the hostage issue, Israel may escalate its military campaign in Gaza. Zamir accused Hamas of bearing full responsibility for the war and the worsening humanitarian conditions in Gaza.
