Seven candidates, including Sebastian Coe and Kirsty Coventry, are in the race to become the next president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The IOC published a list of the potential candidates, who will run for election in March to succeed Thomas Bach. Coventry is the only woman in the contest, while Coe is the president of track's World Athletics. Other candidates include Prince Feisal al Hussein of Jordan, Juan Antonio Samaranch Jr., David Lappartient, Morinari Watanabe, and Johan Eliasch. The formal candidate list will be confirmed in January before the election meeting in Greece in March.
