Israel's ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, accuses Hamas terrorists of running the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) in Gaza. Danon claims that Hamas terrorists were present at the UNRWA al-Jaouni school, which was hit by an Israeli air strike last week. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) state that the school was being used as a Hamas command and control center. UNRWA spokesperson Juliette Touma denies knowledge of the involvement of UNRWA staff in the attack and criticizes the Israeli authorities for not providing a list of staff killed. Hillel Neuer, executive director of U.N. Watch, accuses UNRWA of being complicit with Hamas and calls for foreign governments to stop funding the agency.
