Facebook and YouTube were the main platforms for news consumption, followed by Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter. The poll also revealed that different platforms attract diverse audiences, with women being the main consumers of news on Nextdoor, TikTok, Facebook, Snapchat, and Instagram, while men dominate platforms like Reddit, X, Rumble, Truth Social, and YouTube. Additionally, the poll showed that political views varied among social media platforms, with Republicans or those with Republican views being the majority on Truth Social, Rumble, Facebook, and YouTube, while Democrats or those with Democratic views were more prevalent on WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, and Nextdoor. The survey was conducted between July 15 and August 4, 2024.
