Australian police have infiltrated Ghost, an encrypted global communications app developed for criminals, leading to dozens of arrests. The alleged administrator of the app, Jay Je Yoon Jung, has been charged with supporting a criminal organization and benefitting from proceeds of crime. Australian police arrested 38 suspects in raids across four states, with arrests also made in Canada, Sweden, Ireland, and Italy. The app was allegedly used by various criminal organizations to import drugs and order killings. Australian police were able to prevent numerous acts of violence by monitoring threats on the app.
