Germany has halted the approval of war weapons exports to Israel due to legal challenges arguing that such exports breach humanitarian law. The German government has defended itself in legal cases, stating that no weapons of war have been exported since the Hamas attacks on Israel, except for spares for long-term contracts. Other European countries, including Britain and the Netherlands, have also suspended or halted arms exports to Israel due to concerns about potential violations of international humanitarian law.
