Humza Yousaf, the former First Minister of Scotland, has praised himself for being the first European leader to call for a ceasefire in Gaza. Yousaf wrote an open letter to then Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and other senior UK politicians, calling for the opening of a humanitarian corridor. He has now shared his pride in setting an example for other leaders to follow. Yousaf's statement comes as Israel launched a strike on what it claims was a Hamas command centre in northern Gaza, resulting in the deaths of 22 people, mostly women and children.
