Israeli forces have raided the West Bank office of news network Al Jazeera and ordered it shut down, sparking condemnation and concerns about press freedom. The Foreign Press Association and Palestinian Journalists Syndicate have both denounced the Israeli raid and order. This is not the first time that Al Jazeera has faced interference from Israeli authorities, as in May, Israeli police raided its broadcast position in East Jerusalem and seized equipment.
