Motorists are being warned about a parking fine scam in which drivers are sent a text message that berates victims for their 'long term delinquency'. The fake message, strewn with spelling errors, warns people they have a parking fine and threatens to ban drivers from the road if they do not pay up on time. The menacing text also says they could be taken to court or have to pay more. It then asks people to click on a link in order to enter their vehicle registration and pay the fine in a bid to swindle people's hard earned cash.
