Abu Dhabi's TAQA has expressed interest in participating in a high-powered electric cable linking Europe to the Middle East, according to a Cyprus government spokesperson. TAQA representatives met with Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides in New York, where they expressed strong interest in the electricity interconnection project. The two sides have agreed to meet in the coming weeks to establish a roadmap for the project. The cable, agreed upon by Greece and Cyprus, will help alleviate the energy isolation of the island.
