Western nations are considering options for evacuating their nationals from Lebanon in the event of a full-scale war, with Cyprus and Turkey being considered as potential safe havens. Cyprus, located just 164 miles from Lebanon, played a key role in coordinating evacuations during the 2006 Israel-Hezbollah war. Talks are also underway to explore the possibility of using Turkey as an exit route. Several countries, including the US, France, Britain, and Germany, have thousands of citizens in Lebanon and have been working with Cyprus to prepare evacuation plans. The use of Britain's military bases on the island will be crucial for the evacuations.
