Global trade unions have filed a complaint against Israel with the International Labour Organization (ILO) over its treatment of Palestinian workers since the start of the Israel-Hamas war on October 7. The unions allege that Israel's treatment of Palestinian workers has breached a global treaty and resulted in unpaid wages amounting to billions of dollars. The complaint focuses on Israel's exclusion of around 200,000 Palestinian migrant workers, which Israel justifies on security grounds. The unions are calling on Israel to comply with its international legal obligations and ensure that the workers receive their owed wages immediately.
