Amanda Staveley 'lining up investment in Spurs using Middle East cash'

Financier Amanda Staveley is reportedly 'set to make a sizeable investment in Tottenham Hotspur using Middle Eastern money' just three months after she departed rivals Newcastle United. Staveley helped push through Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund's £305million takeover of Newcastle in October 2021. She left Newcastle in July this year after overseeing a resurgence in the side's fortunes. Staveley and her husband are expected to buy up some of Joe Lewis's shares in Spurs as his influence at the club declines. The investors will subsequently look to increase their stake in the club.
