The Foreign Office has chartered a new flight to help British nationals leave Lebanon, as there are no more scheduled flights due to a decrease in demand. The number of people wanting to leave should be treated with caution as many have strong ties to the country. The new chartered flight is available for British nationals, their spouse or partner, and children under 18, with vulnerable people being a priority. There are thought to be between 4,000 and 6,000 UK nationals in Lebanon, and some have been able to leave on commercial flights but empty seats are scarce.
