A new study has found that the increase in human life expectancy is slowing significantly. The research analyzed mortality data from eight countries with the highest life expectancies and found that on average, these populations gained only 6.5 years of life expectancy over a thirty-year period. This is a significant deceleration compared to the rate of increase during the 20th century, which was three years per decade.
