Oxford scientists have developed a vaccine called OvarianVax that aims to prevent ovarian cancer by empowering the immune system to identify and destroy cancerous cells in their early stages. The development of the vaccine is funded by Cancer Research UK, with £600,000 awarded to the University of Oxford team over three years. This vaccine offers a less invasive option for women at risk and is seen as a significant step forward in the prevention of cancer.
