Three months after leaving Gaza for medical treatment, a 13-year-old girl is in intensive care in a UAE hospital after complications from surgery. Lamis Abusalim has severe scoliosis that could be fatal if left untreated. During her surgery, her heart stopped three times and she suffered brain damage. Lamis and her family had been trying to escape the war in Gaza for months to get medical help. They are now seeking help to transfer Lamis to the UK or another country for further treatment.
