The US will deploy the Thaad anti-missile system and a military crew to Israel to strengthen its air defenses following an Iranian missile attack. President Joe Biden ordered the deployment to defend Israel after Iran launched nearly 200 ballistic missiles towards the country. While most were intercepted, some struck central and southern Israel. Israel has not disclosed its response to the attack, but Defence Minister Yoav Gallant has promised a deadly, precise, and surprising retaliation.
