Israel's government has launched a competition among eight companies in the defense sector to develop technologies that can intercept aerial drones launched by Iran or Hezbollah. The Defense Ministry aims to deploy new operational capabilities within months to counter the threat of drones, which have been used in attacks on Israel. The ministry has already invested hundreds of millions of shekels in developing such capabilities. Participating companies include Elbit Systems, Rafael, and Israel Aerospace Industries.
