A rare weapon from the Revolutionary War, a sword gifted by Marquis de Lafayette, will be unveiled at the Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia. The sword was carried by Jeremiah Keeler of Connecticut during the Siege of Yorktown and was used as a crutch on his journey home. The sword, made of iron, steel, and brass, was purchased by Lafayette in 1779-1780. It was donated by a descendant of Keeler's in honor of her mother.
