Middle East conflict: Explosions in Beirut after Israel vows to target Hezbollah's financial arm

Explosions have erupted in Beirut after Israel threatened to attack Hezbollah's financial sites. The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) said it was planning to target locations used by Hezbollah's al Qard al Hassan unit, which is used to pay operatives and buy arms. Strikes are likely to occur all over Lebanon. In response, rockets were fired over the Lebanese border into Israel. Tensions have been high at the border between the Israeli military and Iranian-backed Hezbollah forces since last year's Hamas attacks.
