RTX has raised its 2024 profit and sales forecasts for the second time due to strong demand for aircraft repairs and defense systems. The company expects full-year adjusted profit per share to be between $5.50 and $5.58, and raised its revenue forecast range to $79.25 billion to $79.75 billion. RTX reported better-than-expected quarterly earnings, with a per-share profit of $1.45 and adjusted sales of $20.1 billion. RTX's unit Pratt & Whitney posted a third-quarter operating profit of $557 million, while Collins Aerospace saw an 18% rise in operating profit to $1.06 billion. Raytheon, another main business of RTX, also reported a higher profit due to demand for products like Patriot missile-defense systems.
