An Israeli strike in southern Lebanon killed at least three journalists as they slept in a guesthouse, according to Lebanese media. The journalists worked for pro-Iranian news outlet Al-Mayadeen and Hezbollah's Al-Manar. The bungalow where the journalists were sleeping was directly targeted. The killings come after an Israeli strike hit an office used by Al-Mayadeen in Beirut, killing one person and injuring five others. The Israeli military campaign in Lebanon has resulted in over 2,500 deaths and more than 1 million people displaced, causing a humanitarian crisis. The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) has reported that at least 128 journalists and media workers have been killed since the start of the Gaza war, making it the deadliest period for journalists since CPJ began gathering data in 1992.
