IDF soldier Staff-Sergeant-Major Tom Segal, who joined the reserves after his friend was abducted to Gaza on October 7, was killed by Hezbollah in Lebanon. Segal had grown up with his friend Lior Rudaeff and joined the reserves to protect Israel's northern border. Four other soldiers also fell in the incident. Segal's funeral will be held on October 25, 2024.
