Microsoft has fired two employees for organising an unauthorised vigil at the company's headquarters in support of Palestinians killed in Gaza during Israel's war with Hamas. The employees were members of a group called 'No Azure for Apartheid' that opposes Microsoft's sale of its cloud-computing technology to the Israeli government. The employees claimed that the event was to honour the victims of the Palestinian genocide in Gaza and to call attention to Microsoft's complicity in the genocide. Microsoft stated that it ended the employment of the individuals in accordance with internal policy.
