Prostate cancer incidence has decreased among Jews but increased among Arabs in Israel, according to data from the Health Ministry. The survival rate from the disease has increased over the years due to early detection and careful follow-up. In 2021, 3,351 men were diagnosed with prostate cancer and 525 died from it. The incidence of prostate cancer among Arabs showed a significant increase from 1996-2006, followed by a decrease from 2007-2014 and a subsequent upward trend from 2015-2021. The high incidence rate in Israel relative to the rest of the world highlights the importance of diagnosing and treating the disease.
