An illegal immigrant in Chicago is facing terrorism and hate crime charges after shooting a Jewish man multiple times on his way to a synagogue. Sidi Mohamed Abdallahi, 22, was charged with one felony count of terrorism and one felony count of a hate crime. The charges were added to the more than a dozen felony charges Abdallahi was already facing. The victim, an Orthodox Jewish man, was targeted on October 26 in Chicago's West Rogers Park neighborhood. Abdallahi, a Mauritanian illegal immigrant, was identified less than 30 minutes after the shooting and allegedly shot at responders before being struck by police fire.
