Gen. Michael 'Erik' Kurilla, head of U.S. Central Command [CENTCOM], is under investigation for allegedly getting physical with an airman on a flight to Israel. The Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID) is currently looking into the incident. Kurilla has been critical of the Biden administration's defensive approach to Houthi attacks in the Red Sea and called for a 'whole of government' approach. He has been in charge of CENTCOM since April 2022 and is expected to relinquish command in April 2025.
