Former Microsoft executive Sajid Farooq and Red Dead Redemption 2 developer James Rackliffe have partnered with other AAA game veterans to establish a new game studio called ILHAM. The studio aims to focus on showcasing perspectives from Middle Eastern and Indian Subcontinental cultures. ILHAM's first project is expected to be a AAA open-world survival game for PC and consoles that pushes the boundaries of the genre and offers a fresh perspective inspired by Middle Eastern lore and mysticism. Farooq, the founder and CEO of ILHAM, believes that gamers are hungry for games that are different and that there are rich stories from the eastern hemisphere waiting to be told.
