The editor of America's oldest magazine, Scientific American, launched an outburst against Republicans following Donald Trump's electoral win, calling them fascists, racists, and sexists. Laura Helmuth's posts on social media were later deleted. Scientific American had endorsed Kamala Harris for president in September. Helmuth has previously gone viral for her progressive posts, including scolding writers for using health terms metaphorically. Founded in 1845, Scientific American is the oldest continuously published magazine in the country.
