Violence Tied to Soccer Game Prompts Dozens of Arrests in Amsterdam

Dozens of people were arrested in Amsterdam after incidents of violence tied to a soccer game between a Dutch and an Israeli team. The Israeli government has described the attacks as antisemitic. At least 10 Israeli citizens were injured and two were still missing. The Dutch police made 57 arrests in connection with the unrest, but did not mention antisemitism or whether anyone was targeted in the violence. Clashes occurred between Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters and protesters near the stadium. Israeli officials are working with Dutch authorities to investigate the attacks.
