Donald Trump has ruled out top jobs for Nikki Haley and Mike Pompeo as he prepares for his inauguration on 20 January. Haley, who served as Trump's United Nations ambassador, had been a strong critic of Trump during the Republican primaries. Pompeo, the former CIA director, had been widely tipped as a contender for secretary of defence. Influential voices within the Trump-world, including Roger Stone, have been lobbying against Pompeo and Haley. The Trump campaign also announced that the Presidential Inaugural Committee will be chaired by Steve Witkoff and Kelly Loeffler.
