Israeli reservists report a heavy service burden, with many linking it to haredi draft exemptions. A poll found that 58% of reservists believe that a law excusing haredim from the IDF draft would hurt their motivation to serve. Nearly 80% of respondents said that they believe such a law would harm national motivation to serve in the IDF. The poll also revealed that 66% of respondents supported increasing pressure and sanctions to increase a haredi draft. The proportion of reservists and their family members who believe that a draft exemption for haredim would harm their motivation to serve has been steadily increasing since May.
