Hungary has placed an order for Hero kamikaze drones from Rheinmetall-UVision venture, with deliveries set to begin in 2024 and end in 2025. The order is in the 'low three-digit, million-euro range.' The drones are known for their ability to hit targets up to 200 kilometers away and are used to select high-value targets and carry out high-precision strikes. Rheinmetall has been building a production site in Hungary for its Lynx infantry fighting vehicle and is also constructing an ammunition production facility for the Hungarian government.
