Asylum seeker had avoided deportation before pushing widow down stairs

An asylum seeker in Sweden, who had previously avoided deportation, has been found guilty of pushing a 91-year-old widow down a flight of stairs. The man, Karam Kanjo, was on parole for rape at the time of the attack and had a history of convictions since arriving in Sweden in 2015. Kanjo had been booked 19 times by police and had previously been convicted of theft and rape. He was sentenced to two years and six months for the rape, but deportation was not requested at the time. Kanjo will now be deported after being found guilty of aggravated robbery.
