EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell has proposed suspending a political dialogue with Israel over concerns of possible human rights violations in the war in Gaza. Borrell cited serious concerns about breaches of international humanitarian law that have not been sufficiently addressed by Israel. The proposal, which would need approval from all 27 EU countries, is unlikely to pass. The EU has struggled to find a united position on the Gaza war, with some countries supporting Israel and others supporting Palestinians.
