Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani arrived in Ankara to meet with President Tayyip Erdogan and discuss investment and trade. The visit comes after Doha said it would stall efforts to mediate a Gaza ceasefire and hostage release deal until willingness and seriousness are shown by Hamas and Israel. Turkey does not consider Hamas a terrorist group and has regular visits from its political officials. Erdogan and al Thani will hold a bilateral meeting and chair the Turkey-Qatar High Strategic Committee meeting, followed by the signing of various agreements.
