Nature pays price for war in Israel's north

The war between Israel and Hezbollah militants has taken a toll on the nature reserves in northern Israel, with wildlife and vegetation being severely impacted. The Agamon Hula Valley Nature Reserve, a migration sanctuary for birds, has been left with burned plants and cinder-strewn soil due to rocket fire from Lebanon. The war has also caused a decline in the number of birds visiting the reserve, affecting nesting and mating. The conflict has resulted in extensive damage to nature reserves, national parks, forests, and open areas across Israel, with wildfires being sparked by projectiles fired from Lebanon.
