School directors convicted for negligence in Nahal Tzafit disaster

The directors of Bnei Zion's pre-military program have been convicted for negligence in the Nahal Tzafit disaster, where 10 students were killed in a flood. Yuval Kahan and Aviv Berdichev were convicted on ten offenses of causing death by negligence and two counts of injury by negligence. The team organizing the outing had allegedly made special preparations due to serious warnings for fear of floods in the area. Despite being aware of the risks and receiving repeated warnings, the directors did not cancel the trip to the specific area. The judge stated that their unnecessary risks led to the disaster.
