Israel's Health Committee has approved the addition of six CT machines and ten MRI devices to peripheral regions in order to address critical equipment shortages. The move comes after a State Comptroller found that the number of MRI and CT devices per million people in Israel is lower than in most OECD countries. The addition of these medical imaging devices will help improve access to advanced and accessible medical treatment for citizens across the country. The Health Ministry is working to improve the availability of medical services and reduce inequality in the healthcare system.
