The earliest inscription declaring 'God Jesus Christ' has been found beneath an Israeli prison, deemed 'the greatest discovery since the Dead Sea Scrolls.' The 1,800-year-old mosaic features ancient Greek writing and confirms that Christians believed Jesus was the son of God from the beginning. The mosaic also includes some of the earliest images of fish, referencing a story in Luke 9:16. The Megiddo Mosaic is currently on display at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, DC until July 2025.
