Bank Leumi reported a 30% rise in net profit in Q3 2023 to NIS 2.3 billion. The bank's mortgage portfolio grew 10% year-on-year, surpassing growth in lending to other sectors. The mortgage portfolio totaled NIS 143 billion, larger than the commercial credit portfolio. Credit to private customers fell 2.6%, credit to small businesses rose 5.1%, and commercial credit rose 0.2%. The bank's return on equity in Q3 was 15.5%, compared to 13.6% in the same quarter last year. Bank Leumi's board declared a dividend of 40% of the Q3 profit, amounting to NIS 917 million.
