Home secretary refuses to say if UK would arrest Netanyahu after ICC arrest warrant

The UK Home Secretary has refused to comment on whether Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would be arrested if he visited the country, following the issuance of an international arrest warrant by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity. The ICC also issued an arrest warrant for Hamas leader Mohammed Diab Ibrahim al Masri. The UK government respects the independence of the ICC but stated that the majority of cases pursued by the court do not become part of the British legal process. Israel and the US are not members of the ICC and have rejected its jurisdiction.
