The British government has stated that it would comply with 'legal obligations' regarding an International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he were to travel to the UK. The ICC recently issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and ex-defence minister Yoav Gallant in relation to allegations of crimes against humanity and war crimes during Israel's war on Hamas in Gaza. The UK government has indicated that if a warrant of arrest is accompanied by a request and is deemed valid by a judicial officer, it will endorse the warrant for execution in the country.
