Two rare classic cars, a 1921 Talbot Darracq and a 1952 Mercedes Benz 220 Type A convertible, were discovered in a rural barn in Framlingham, Suffolk after their owner died. The cars, which had been stored away for 40 years, were sold at auction for tens of thousands of pounds, exceeding their estimated sale prices. The Mercedes sold for £37,000 and the Talbot sold for £10,500. The Mercedes had been purchased by the late owner while he was serving in the British Army in Germany and had travelled with him throughout his military career. The Talbot was purchased in 1967 for £750. The discovery of these classic cars comes after a hoard of classic cars worth an estimated £1 million was found in a rural warehouse in Wales earlier this year.
