The Israeli military has ordered residents in an eastern Gaza City suburb to evacuate, leading to a new wave of displacement. The evacuation orders were issued after Palestinian militants fired rockets from the heavily built-up district. The Israeli military blamed Hamas for the rocket fire. In addition to the displacement, a hospital director in north Gaza was injured in an Israeli drone attack. Israeli airstrikes in central Gaza have also killed at least 10 people, according to medics. The situation is further exacerbated by heavy winter rain, which has flooded hundreds of tents in the enclave, impacting thousands of displaced people.
